Home Invasion Robbery in Hydesville Leaves Victim Unharmed

On March 3, 2024, a home invasion robbery took place in the 1700 block of River Bar Rd. in Hydesville, as reported by the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office. The 47-year-old victim recounted the harrowing experience to deputies, stating that he was confronted by three suspects in the early hours of the morning.

According to the victim, one of the suspects wore a neck gator around his face and another pointed a shotgun at him, demanding entry into the residence. The victim was then restrained and held at gunpoint while the suspects ransacked the house. The suspects made off with approximately 5 to 6 pounds of trimmed marijuana and an amethyst crystal valued at around $3000.

The first suspect was described as a heavyset white male adult, while the second suspect was characterized as a white male adult with brown hair. The third suspect was noted to have red hair and was described as a white male adult in his mid to late 30s. No injuries were reported, and the suspects managed to flee the scene before law enforcement arrived.

The Humboldt County Sheriff's Office is actively investigating the case and is seeking information from the public.
