On Saturday, March 8, former Arcata High School standout Merek Sears’ current college team, the UT Arlington Mavericks, lost 4-2 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks.

The game took place at Lou St. Amant Field. This was their second matchup against the Warhawks this season.

The Mavericks’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, March 9 at 1 p.m. at Lou St. Amant Field against Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks.
