On Sunday, Feb. 16, former Arcata High School standout Merek Sears’ current college team, the UT Arlington Mavericks, lost 6-3 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the UTSA Roadrunners.
The game took place at Clay Gould Ballpark. This was their third matchup against the Roadrunners this season.
The Mavericks’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 23 at 2:05 p.m. at O’Brate Stadium against Oklahoma State Cowboys.
