On Sunday, April 6, former Arcata High School standout Merek Sears’ current college team, the UT Arlington Mavericks, won 4-2 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Lamar Cardinals.
The game took place at Vincent-Beck Stadium. This was their third matchup against the Cardinals this season.
The Mavericks’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, April 8 at 6 p.m. at Clay Gould Ballpark against TCU Horned Frogs.
