On Sunday, March 23, former Arcata High School standout Merek Sears’ current college team, the UT Arlington Mavericks, won 6-1 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Sacramento State Hornets.
The game took place at John Smith Field. This was their third matchup against the Hornets this season.
The Mavericks’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, March 25 at 6:30 p.m. at Baylor Ballpark against Baylor Bears.
