CMS data show that Crescent City Skilled Nursing had an average of 80.8 residents per day in the first quarter of 2026, out of a total capacity of 99 beds. The facility does not have a hospital affiliation.
In the same period, Crescent City Skilled Nursing was penalized twice, including one fine totaling $144,866.

U.S. Census Bureau projections show the senior population is increasing, while younger groups are in decline. From 2020 to 2024, the population of Americans 65 and older grew by 13%, while the number of those under 18 fell by 1.7%. In the past 100 years, the number of older adults in the U.S. has expanded sharply—from 4.9 million in 1920 to over 61 million in 2024.
A 2021 study indicates that about half of older adults, or 28 million people, may need long-term services or support. The report also forecasts that more than a third could ultimately require care in a nursing home.
“Living a long life is something that many of us want and could get,” said Jesse Slome, executive director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance. “But when we live a long life, the chances of us needing long-term care increase exponentially. But when you need that type of care, there are limited options.”
