On March 12, at approximately 11:30 p.m., a deputy from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office noticed a suspicious vehicle parked on Herrick Avenue in Eureka. The deputy observed a man exiting the vehicle and engaged him in conversation.

The man claimed that the vehicle belonged to his girlfriend, identified as “Tori,” who was not present at the scene. He also mentioned that the woman accompanying him was named “Crystal.” During the investigation, the deputy determined that the female subject was Tori Attebery, 33, from Hoopa. It was discovered that Attebery had an outstanding warrant for her arrest. The man later confessed to providing false information because he was uncertain about Attebery’s warrant status. Consequently, Attebery was arrested without incident due to the warrant.

A search of the vehicle followed Attebery’s arrest. Inside, authorities found fentanyl and drug paraphernalia, including a meth pipe and several hypodermic needles.

Attebery was taken to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility and booked on charges related to her arrest warrant, possession of a controlled substance (HS 11350(a)), and possession of drug paraphernalia (HS 11364(a)).

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office encourages anyone with information regarding this case or related criminal activities to contact them at (707) 445-7251 or through their Crime Tip line at (707) 268-2539.
