Humboldt County Sheriff investigates fatal shooting in Glendale

On July 8, 2025, at around 7:23 p.m., deputies from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) responded to a shooting report in the 900 block of Glendale Drive, Glendale. Upon arrival, they found a 37-year-old male victim with a life-threatening gunshot wound. Despite lifesaving efforts by deputies and medical personnel, the victim died while being transported to a local hospital. The deceased’s identity is currently withheld.

Detectives from the HCSO Major Crimes Division are investigating the incident. Preliminary findings indicate that the shooting resulted from a dispute over a civil matter between two individuals and is considered an isolated event. An extensive search was conducted, but no suspects were found. The HCSO continues to follow up on leads.

The investigation is ongoing, and more information about the suspect(s) and any related vehicles will be released as it becomes available.
