Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office seeks public help to locate missing woman

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance to locate Kylie Bones, 24, of the Southern Humboldt area, who was reported missing under unknown circumstances on May 26.

Bones was last contacted on May 24 at approximately 1:00 p.m. She was reported missing by a friend at around 10:00 a.m. on May 26 after failing to return from a float on the Eel River near Garberville.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Bones is described as a white female, about 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighing approximately 110 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. The agency asks that anyone with information regarding her possible whereabouts contact the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office at (707) 445-7251.

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office provides law enforcement services across unincorporated areas of Humboldt County, California, and manages operations including emergency communications, animal control, custody operations and off-highway vehicle enforcement. The department also maintains its headquarters in Eureka and operates the county correctional facility, according to the official website.
