On July 14, 2025, deputies from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Enforcement Team (MET) executed a search warrant in the Sunset Ridge area of Blocksburg. This operation followed an investigation by patrol deputies who were alerted to ongoing trespassing on a rural property. During their search for trespassers, deputies discovered two large areas being used for marijuana cultivation.
The MET deputies were informed about the illegal cultivation and obtained a search warrant for the property. In executing the warrant, they eradicated 2,312 marijuana plants. No individuals were found at the scene, and the investigation continues.
