On January 25, Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies were alerted to a vandalism incident involving several patrol cars and the correctional facility building. A white male subject was captured on security surveillance using a black paint pen for the act. Despite an immediate search, deputies could not locate the suspect.

The Sheriff’s Office is seeking public assistance in identifying the suspect, described as a white male adult in his 30s. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a gray hoodie, blue jeans, and carrying a backpack while walking northbound on 4th Street.

The investigation remains ongoing.
