On November 15, Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a reported burglary on the 1800 block of A Avenue in McKinleyville. The victim discovered her car window broken and her garage burglarized. Surveillance footage showed a white male entering and exiting the garage with stolen items.

A day later, deputies identified Nichoals Ford, 37, of McKinleyville at Pierson Park based on the suspect description from the video. Authorities arrested Ford, finding controlled substances and drug paraphernalia during a search.

Ford faces charges including burglary (PC 459), possession of methamphetamine (HS 11377(a)), and possession of drug paraphernalia (HS 11364(a)). Some stolen items were recovered and returned to the victim.
