On Friday, Feb. 28, former Arcata High School standout Merek Sears’ current college team, the UT Arlington Mavericks, won 7-4 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Houston Cougars.
The game took place at Clay Gould Ballpark. This was their first matchup against the Cougars this season.
The Mavericks’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at 2 p.m. at Clay Gould Ballpark against Houston Cougars.
