On Friday, March 14, former Arcata High School standout Merek Sears’ current college team, the UT Arlington Mavericks, won 8-2 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Little Rock Trojans.
The game took place at Clay Gould Ballpark. This was their first matchup against the Trojans this season.
The Mavericks’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 15 at 2 p.m. at Gary Hogan Field against Little Rock Trojans.
