On Monday, Feb. 24, former Arcata High School standout Merek Sears’ current college team, the UT Arlington Mavericks, lost 10-4 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Oklahoma State Cowboys.
The game took place at O’Brate Stadium. This was their second matchup against the Cowboys this season.
The Mavericks’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 28 at 4 p.m. at Clay Gould Ballpark against Houston Cougars.
