A deceased man found in an overturned vehicle in Briceland has been identified through an autopsy. The man, David Taylor, age 84, of Whitethorn, died shortly after the motor vehicle collision from a cervical spine fracture. Taylor was reported missing on February 18; he was last seen on February 6 on Shelter Cove Road in Whitethorn.

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office expressed gratitude to various agencies and personnel involved in the search effort.
