On Friday, April 4, former Arcata High School standout Merek Sears’ current college team, the UT Arlington Mavericks, lost 3-2 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Lamar Cardinals.

The game took place at Vincent-Beck Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Cardinals this season.

The Mavericks’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, April 6 at 11 a.m. at Vincent-Beck Stadium against Lamar Cardinals.
