On Saturday, April 12, former Arcata High School standout Merek Sears’ current college team, the UT Arlington Mavericks, won 13-6 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Tarleton State Texans.

The game took place at Tarleton Baseball Complex. This was their second matchup against the Texans this season.

The Mavericks’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, April 13 at 1 p.m. at Tarleton Baseball Complex against Tarleton State Texans.
