On Saturday, April 26, former Arcata High School standout Merek Sears’ current college team, the UT Arlington Mavericks, lost 7-2 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Grand Canyon Antelopes.

The game took place at Brazell Field at GCU Ballpark. This was their second matchup against the Antelopes this season.

The Mavericks’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, April 27 at 12 p.m. at Brazell Field at GCU Ballpark against Grand Canyon Antelopes.
