On Saturday, March 29, former Arcata High School standout Merek Sears’ current college team, the UT Arlington Mavericks, lost 7-6 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the California Baptist Lancers.

The game took place at Clay Gould Ballpark. This was their second matchup against the Lancers this season.

The Mavericks’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, March 30 at 12 p.m. at Clay Gould Ballpark against California Baptist Lancers.
