77 percent of applicants to Humboldt State University were admitted for fall 2018

At Humboldt State University, 81 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 57 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Arcata enrolled 7,972 students in fall 2018, including 7,319 in undergraduate and 653 in graduate programs, data shows. 12.7 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

93 percent of undergraduates are residents of California, and 7 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (42 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (35 percent).

The school admitted 77 percent of the 10,957 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 12 percent enrolled.
