Arrest Made in Threatening and Anti-Semitic Messages Case

An individual and his son reported receiving threatening and Anti-Semitic messages on social media, leading to the arrest of 33-year-old Daniel Epperson. According to the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office, Epperson was responsible for the alarming messages.

An arrest warrant was issued for Epperson on March 5, 2024, citing multiple crimes including threatening a crime with intent to terrorize, violating civil rights by force or threat of force, annoying or harassing with repeated electronic communication, and violation of probation.

Sheriff Deputies apprehended Epperson on March 10 at the 500 block of E St. in Arcata. He was subsequently taken to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility where he was booked on the aforementioned charges. The case remains under investigation.
