On Aug. 22, 2024, at approximately 8 p.m., Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 76 Gas Station on Central Ave. in McKinleyville following a report of a robbery.
A gas station employee informed the responding deputies that the suspect entered the business and demanded cash from the register. The suspect claimed to be armed, though no weapons were observed. The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash before the employee called for assistance. Deputies conducted a search of the surrounding area but were unable to locate him.
The suspect is described as a 6’2” white male adult, last seen wearing a dark gray hoodie, green camo shirt, brown or black leather boots, and a dark blue mask.
This case remains under investigation.
