On Sunday, April 13, former Arcata High School standout Merek Sears’ current college team, the UT Arlington Mavericks, won 14-13 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Tarleton State Texans.
The game took place at Tarleton Baseball Complex. This was their third matchup against the Texans this season.
The Mavericks’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, April 15 at 6 p.m. at Clay Gould Ballpark against Baylor Bears.
