On Sunday, March 30, former Arcata High School standout Merek Sears’ current college team, the UT Arlington Mavericks, lost 6-3 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the California Baptist Lancers.

The game took place at Clay Gould Ballpark. This was their third matchup against the Lancers this season.

The Mavericks’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, April 1 at 6:05 p.m. at Horner Ballpark against Dallas Baptist Patriots.
