A friend of Jesse Austin, who was reported missing, informed the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) that he gave Austin a ride on August 24, 2025. According to the friend, he picked up Austin from the airport and drove him to the Cedar Flat Rest area on Highway 299. The friend said that Austin mentioned meeting a family member and was last seen sitting at a picnic table.
