The Humboldt County Sheriff's Office is seeking public assistance in locating Michael Cady, 34, of McKinleyville. Cady is a suspect in a robbery and attempted homicide that occurred on April 13 in Fortuna.
Over recent months, investigators from the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office and agents from the Humboldt County Drug Task Force have been conducting an investigation into this incident. The investigation has involved following leads, receiving community assistance, and analyzing evidence collected at the crime scene.
Three individuals were implicated in this case. Jackson Parrott, 44, of Scotia was detained and booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on August 22. Christopher Overholt, 43, of Loleta was apprehended by the Jackson County Sheriff's Office in Oregon earlier this week.
Efforts to locate Cady are ongoing. Deputies executed a search warrant at his known residence on December 6 but did not find anyone there.
The investigation remains active. Authorities urge anyone with information about Cady's whereabouts to contact law enforcement immediately.
