Arrest Made in Connection with Burglary of Cannabis Farm in Humboldt County

Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies successfully made an arrest in connection with the burglary of a state-licensed cannabis farm in the area. The arrest of 37-year-old Brian M McKnight was the result of diligent investigative work by law enforcement agencies.

Following the burglary report on Bear Creek Road near Dinsmore, deputies were able to track down McKnight and recover stolen items not only from the cannabis farm but also linked to other residential burglaries in the Dinsmore vicinity. The stolen property is now in the process of being returned to the rightful owners.

McKnight faced multiple charges, including possession of stolen property exceeding $10,000, being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, as well as having an outstanding felony warrant in Humboldt County. He was taken into custody and booked into the Trinity County Correctional Facility.

The case remains under investigation, and authorities urge anyone with information on this incident or related criminal activities to contact the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office.
