On February 4, 2024, at 9:36 p.m., Correctional Deputy David Reed was performing a routine cell check in the female maximum-security wing. While conducting the check, Deputy Reed noticed a 41-year-old female was attempting to hang herself. Deputy Reed immediately called for back-up and entered the cell along with Corporal David Swim.
